  • Analysis of experience of monitoring fine-particulate air pollution of roadside territories of the European Union countries and Russia

The article reviews the three methods of assessment of vehicle exhaust gases in the countries of the European Union. In the first method fuel as an indicator of the transportation activity is used in combination with the average emission coefficient. The second method accounts for the fuel consumption of different types of vehicles and their emission standards. The third method allows for calculating exhaust gas emissions in combination with technical data and data on transport activity. The article presents equations to calculate the exhaust gas omission for each method and reviews examples of the particulate matter characteristics of the emissions of passenger and freight transport. The article also proposes the use of a log-normal law for dependence of transition of number of particles to integral functions on mass distribution of particles by diameter.

  • The analysis of distribution in the air basin of the polluting substances of urban areas containing in emissions of the fuel and energy complex enterprises

In article authors considered the main processes having impact on distribution in atmospheric air of the polluting substances which are formed during the work of the enterprises of fuel and energy complex – boiler rooms and combined heat and power plant. Various changes to which are exposed gaseous and the strong polluting substances coming to the atmosphere with flue gases, and also the factors influencing dispersion and their concentration in the air basin of the cities are analysed. The climatic characteristics significantly influencing formation of pollution of the air basin of the cities are investigated. In the conclusion authors drew a conclusion that, despite an arrangement of installations of the centralized boiler rooms within an urban area or is close to it, decrease in pollution of the air basin of the cities in comparison with systems of autonomous heating of each house is observed.

  • The control system of air inclusions in blood plasma during hemodialysis

Hemodialysis is a complex process requiring the increased control of some parameters, such as dialysis dose, blood perfusion rate, ultrafiltration, blood volume, its composition and etc. To solve the problem of control the blood during dialysis was designed the monitoring system of air inclusions - air bubbles. A very important part of this system is the ultrasonic air detector. It is set to venous blood highway - at the exit of blood from the dialyzer, and determines the presence in the cleaned blood any air inclusions by measuring the velocity of ultrasound in the analyzed multiphase medium - the blood, thus informing the doctor about the quality and security of hemodialysis procedure.

  • Effect of relative air humidity on resistance of nanocrystalline ZnO films formed by reactive magnetron sputtering

A series of samples of nanocrystalline zinc oxide films was fabricated by reactive magnetron sputtering under different regimes, heating up to 200-250 ° C and subsequent annealing. The effect of relative humidity in the range of 25-80% on the resistance of zinc oxide films was investigated. The character of the dependence of fabrication regimes on film resistance at different relative humidities was detected. The optimum conditions of insensitive to relative humidity zinc oxide films formation was obtained.

  • Monitoring and mathematical modeling of microbial air pollution near highways Volgograd

The aim of this work was to conduct monitoring and make a regression model of the microbiological air pollution in Volgograd near highways. The work carried out monitoring of microbial air pollution in the residential district of Volgograd near two major highways - first and second longitudinal lines. On the first phase of research the microbial monitoring of air pollution in the residential district of Volgograd was conducted, depending on the proximity to the highway. Number of microbial cells (MC) was evaluated by sedimentation. The assumption is made about the nature of the regression relationship between microbial air pollution and the distance from the highway. Approximating functions and regression coefficients are constructed for the first portion of the longitudinal line at different levels of traffic road. Function is obtained, which allows to calculate the value of microbial contamination of the air, depending on the distance to the road and number of vehicles. In the case of high levels of the microbiological monitoring of the basin air it’s necessary to carry out measures to reduce microbial contamination of the air, for example, regular watering roads, tree planting, vegetative barriers adsorbing pollutants, chemical treatment of disinfectants. The calculation of microbial contamination of the air near a residential building located at a distance of 10 meters from the highway in the central region of Volgograd is conducted using proposed in function prediction of microbial contamination. The developed technique allows us to make calculations without setting up experiments in a specialized microbiology laboratory.
